Positive/Negative Space

I found it in Graphic Design USA November 2011 Issue


I think this photo shows both negative and positive space very well. It goes from a lighter shade in the top right corner and becomes darker throughout the picture. But it also shows light in the spots that are shadowed by the dark.

Picture from: Output:Rudi de Wet's wild mural and other new work_page 12  from Computer Arts 2012 issue I chose this picture as my unity blog post because it shows unity within the whole picture. It proximity by grouping. It has repetition with the colors. The color goes throughout the piece making it unified. Especially since they use a repetition of the same colors throughout the picture.
